Spencer Young, a recent graduate of Marlborough School in California and a North Carolina signee representing the Los Angeles Jets, won the women's 17-18 division javelin throw title with an opening-round performance of 152-1 (46.37m) at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
